Huge news hit Metro Phoenix this week when it was announced a new Apple facility in Mesa had been finalized.
No doubt this is massive news for the Valley, but it also is a huge boon for anyone in residential, commercial, or land development or investment in the East Valley’s “Eastmark” area. An Apple subsidiary purchased the 1.32 million square foot building and 83 acres from First Solar – for a cool $113,600,000 – and apparently will be used to manufacture the sapphire glass used on iPhones and iPads, while creating 1,300 construction jobs and 700 permanent jobs.
The Eastmark development is another first-class project by Scottsdale’s DMB Associates, developers of world-class projects such as Verrado, DC Ranch, and Silverleaf.
