SkySong Central Scottsdale

Scottsdale’s once-booming McDowell Corridor, also known at the time as the “Motor Mile,” is experiencing a renaissance. Through efforts by the City of Scottsdale, the Scottsdale Gateway Alliance, and over $400 million in private investment, the area is entering a robust new life cycle.

The McDowell Corridor was once plagued by the aging Los Arcos Mall and then empty auto dealerships which opted to move to shiny new buildings in North Scottsdale. It is now home to thriving SkySong, a new Mark Kia & Mitsubishi dealership, and more than 1,500 planned apartments and condominiums.

Read on for development updates and links related to the history and rebirth of the McDowell Corridor.
